Ningbo Haishu Hanvos School Behavioral Norms for Pupils
一、尊敬国旗，唱好国歌、队歌，升国旗时要肃立、脱帽、行注目礼，少先队员行队礼。
Respect the National Flag and sing the National Anthem and Young Pioneer Anthem respectfully. Stand still with hats off and salute the Young Pioneer Salute and watch the National Flag rises.
二、尊敬老师、孝敬父母，友爱同学。听从老师和长辈的教导，同学之间互相帮助，乐于分享，不打人，不骂人。
Respect teachers, parents and classmates. Follow teachers and parents’ direction. Be willing to help and share with classmates. No fighting or quarrelling.
三、待人有礼貌，见面要问好。说话文明、轻声、讲普通话或英语、会用礼貌用语。上学不迟到、不早退，有病有事要请假。
Be polite and greet everyone respectfully. Speak softly in Mandarin or English with appreciate language. Do not be late for school or leave early. When it is necessary, ask before leaving class.
四、真诚待人，不说谎话，知错就改。答应别人的事要努力做到。不随便拿别人的东西，借东西要还，损坏公物要赔偿，拾到东西要归还失主或交公。
Be honest, lying is not permitted. Correct mistakes and keep all promises. Return what is borrowed and compensate for the damage or loss of other’s property. Hand the lost property back to the owner or the authorities.
五、上课专心倾听，积极思考，举手发言，勇于发表自己的想法。课前先预习，课后按时完成作业，考试不作弊。
Pay full attention in class and think critically. Raise your hand to express your own ideas. Be prepared for every class. Finish homework on time and never cheat on exams.
六、穿戴整洁、大方，在学校要穿校服。经常洗澡，勤剪指甲勤洗头，早晚刷牙漱口，饭前便后要洗手。不随地吐痰，不乱扔果皮纸屑，垃圾要分类摆放。
Be neat and wear uniforms at school. Take a shower and trim the nails regularly. Brush teeth in the morning and evening, and wash hands before each meal and after using the toilet. No spitting. Do not litter.
七、遵守交通规则和公共场所秩序。乘坐车船要主动给老幼病残者让座，不在公路、铁道、码头等场所玩耍和追跑打闹。观看演出时不随意走动，保持安静，演出结束时鼓掌致谢。
Follow public regulations. Offer seats to people in need. Never play or run on the road, railway or dock. Never walk about in the theatre. Keep quiet during the play and applause for appreciation when the play ends.
八、爱惜粮食，不挑吃穿，提倡光盘。爱惜学习和生活用品，节约水电。爱护公共财物，爱护花草树木和庄稼，保护有益动物。不在建筑物和文物古迹上涂抹刻画。
Cherish food, school supplies and living goods. Never be picky about food and clothes. Do not waste food. Protect public property, grass, flower, crops and animals. Never leave graffiti or carving on old buildings and ancient objects.
九、注意安全，不在走廊和楼梯奔跑，过马路要走人行横道，游泳要由家人陪同。不玩火，不放烟花爆竹，不做有危险的游戏。
Keep safe. Never run in the corridor or stairs. Use the crosswalk to cross roads and swim with others. Never play with fire or fireworks. Dangerous games are prohibited.
十、喜欢读书，多看有益的图书和视频，养成良好的阅读习惯。不参加封建迷信活动，遇到坏人坏事要主动报告。
Read good books and watch qualified videos. Attending superstitious activities is strongly discouraged. Report to the police when witnessing a crime.
